Volunteers at Waddington Street Centre

As can be seen, WSC started up back in 1981 as a direct initiative of volunteers. Over 25 years on, volunteers remain an integral part of the organisation serving as support workers, in administration and as trustee board members. The contribution of volunteers to the progress of the Centre over the years has been considerable and continues to be greatly appreciated.

Waddington Street Centre is always looking for new volunteers. Many of the events and activities we run would not be possible without them.

We have had a total of 31 volunteers working with the centre. Volunteers contributed approximately 4,590 hours of work to the centre during the last year. The estimated value of this help was GBP54,500 in 2009/10.

Volunteers of all ages above 18 are welcomed to apply, WSC being committed to equality of opportunity for everyone regardless of his or her race, nationality, religion or belief, gender, sexuality, disability, age, or marital status. We believe everyone has a valuable skill they can share.
