Celebrating Learning Day | date added: 20 July, 2010

The aim of the day was to thank all of you who involve yourselves with educational pursuits. I'm sure you will agree that education and stimulating activities are an essential part of Waddington Street Centre. I know that many of you are very passionate about the courses and I have greatly enjoyed hearing about your experiences over the years. I hope that we are able to maintain our relationship with New College and provide many wonderful courses over the coming years.

A special thank you should be given to the amazing entertainment provided by our musicians and writers. All of you who were involved have a wonderful talent and should be very proud of your skills and abilities. As always the offerings were professional, exciting and inspiring. Well done !

I would like to thank the following for their help and support with this event: the staff team, volunteers, Andrew Richardson (running the kitchen) Lorna Thornborrow (organising displays) Justin Ashurst (designing the Volunteer's certificate) Mike Watts and Charmian Walter, Steve Urwin and the Waddy Writers, Daniel Rippon, Ian Matthews, Catherine de Cates and Waddy Musicians.

The sun was shining, the glorious sound of music cascaded around the building, there was laughter and good conversation, visitors from near and far and a spectacular lunch. All and all May 21st was a rather wonderful day.
