Man in Black makes Good

Our very own poet in residence Steve Urwin is celebrating the long await of publication of his second poetry collection 'Hypomaniac' by Red Squirrel Press.  The book received a rave review in the North East's wildly circulated culture  magazine 'The Crack - Book of the Month no less!'

Kate Fox, BBC Radio 4 writes 'These poems speak to everyone interested in the states of mind that we sometimes own and that sometimes owns us.'
Tom Kelly, poet and playwright describes Hypomaniac as being 'Like a road crash you want to turn away from but read on and on.  It's hypnotic.  Read it now.'

It really is compelling reading. Copies are on sale in the Print Shop for GBP6.99, or you can catch Steve most Tuesdays or Wednesdays when he's running his writing courses.  His Tuesday afternoon 'Writing for All' course currently running in the lounge is providing a very popular event; there's an opportunity to sit and listen or take part in fun filled creative writing tasks.
